NEW ORLEANS — It’s crunch time for college-bound high school seniors.

“Right now our enrollment is looking up. We had a 20 percent growth this spring, so we’re really excited about that,” said Delgado Director of Enrollment Management Michelle Greco.

For anyone considering becoming a Delgado Dolphin, one-on-one coaching is available.

“Well we have dedicated enrollment coaches and recruitment coaches that can take them – either tour around campus, we can do some career exploration with students if they’re just not sure of what major or program they’re interested in,” added Greco.

An enrollment coach can help with everything from the application process to class scheduling, even financial aid.

“We have very progressive curriculums here, we’ve opened our new Health Sciences building that has state-of-the-art technology,” said Greco.

Now’s the time to work on this checklist:

  • Complete a FAFSA- that’s the free application for financial student aid, to be completed by students and parents.

  • Register with LOSFA- that’s the Louisiana Office of Student Financial Assistance.

  • And if you’re hoping for TOPS money, you’ll also want to check on testing deadlines for the ACT or SAT.

  • “Our application is online, it takes about 5-7 minutes to complete, and upon submission, you are accepted to the college, so within about 10 – 15 minutes, you’ll get an e-mail with your student ID number and you’re ready to roll,” said Greco.

Easy enrollment is one more way Delgado Community College helps every student Step Closer to Unstoppable.
