Wolf Man—a reboot of Universal Pictures’ legendary werewolf franchise—already appears to be headed to digital streaming.
Rated R, Wolf Man is directed by Leigh Whannell, the filmmaker behind Universal Pictures’ hit 2020 reboot of the horror film classic The Invisible Man. The logline for Wolf Man reads, “A family at a remote farmhouse is attacked by an unseen animal, but as the night stretches on, the father begins to transform into something unrecognizable.”
Ozark star Julia Garner and Christopher Abbott (Kraven the Hunter) play Charlotte and Blake in Wolf Man, a married couple who travels with their young daughter, Ginger (Matilda Firth) to the farm house.
Universal kicked off its werewolf franchise with the 1941 classic The Wolf Man, starring Lon Chaney Jr. Before the release of the reboot movie, Universal released a remake in 2010 starring Benicio del Toro in the role Chaney made famous.
Wolf Man opened in theaters on Jan. 17. According to When to Stream, Wolf Man is expected to debut on digital streaming via premium video on demand on Tuesday, Feb. 4.
