A Detroit man accused in a string of vehicle break-ins across metro Detroit is facing multiple charges after authorities recovered a massive assortment of stolen items from his possession, including credit cards, IDs, a firearm, a vehicle, and more.
Wesley Brandus Tabor, 27, was arrested after an investigation linked him to multiple thefts reported on the morning of Feb. 13, according to a Friday release from the West Bloomfield Police Department.
Following Tabor’s arrest, detectives obtained and executed search warrants on his home and the vehicle he was driving — seizing 75 credit cards, 12 driver’s licenses, four Social Security cards, a passport, a credit card reader, two vehicle scanners, 10 wallets, multiple cellphones and electronics, several car keys, a stolen vehicle, two stolen license plates, a large amount of cash, lottery tickets and a stolen firearm, according to the police release.
Authorities said they believe the suspect is connected to crimes in multiple cities and counties throughout southeast Michigan.
Tabor was arraigned on a five-count felony warrant issued by the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office, according to police. His bond was set at $1 million cash or surety, no 10%. He remains in the Oakland County Jail.
