A woman died Friday evening after a motorcycle crash on Columbus’ West Side.
Katelan Phares, 24, was eastbound on Scioto Darby Creek Road near the Woodson Drive intersection when she lost control on a left curve, according to a Columbus police news release.
Phares slid her BMW S 1000 into a guardrail and landed with the motorcycle on top of her, police said.
Paramedics took her to OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital in critical condition where doctors pronounced her dead at 6:08 p.m.
The Columbus police Accident Investigation Unit is investigating the crash.
