Scott Jennings, the lone conservative voice on CNN, tore into Democrats today for defending now indicted New York Attorney General Letitia James, claiming that she is being singled out for selective prosecution.

Jennings correctly notes that the ‘selective prosecution’ of Trump is the basis of her entire career.

It is amazing watching Democrats and people in media come down with amnesia and pretend that the last ten years just didn’t happen. They act like all of this is happening in a vacuum. Like history began ten months ago and nothing that happened before that time has any meaning at all.

Partial transcript Overton News on Twitter/X:

“If Democrats like Slotkin are going to come out today and whine about selective prosecutions over Tish James—her ENTIRE career is built on the selective prosecution of one man.”

“There’s a process here. Everybody gets their day in court. Obviously, a grand jury saw enough evidence to bring charges. We don’t know what they are, but a grand jury looked at this and says, okay, there’s something here. She gets to go to court, just like Comey, just like anyone else.”

“But to me, it’s just not going to fly to boohoo over selective prosecutions on this particular person who promised in her campaigns, who went after him on things, as Jonah said, that had no business, no business ever happening, if not but for the man’s last name being Trump.”

And he did it with one simple truth.

Ms. James sounded so tough just a year ago, according to the Daily Beast:

Letitia James Hits Back After Ex-Prez Leaves Court: ‘Trump Show is Over’

New York Attorney General Letitia James told reporters “the Donald Trump show is over” as the former president left court Wednesday afternoon. He had spent three days in New York City attending a $250 million trial that will likely result in the dissolution of his real estate empire. James also hit back at Trump’s repeated personal attacks, saying they were “devoid of any facts” and “nothing more than a political stunt.” She added, “They were comments that unfortunately fomented violence, comments that I would describe as race-baiting.”

James also criticized his social media post on Truth Social attacking a court clerk, which led Judge Arthur Engoron to hit him with a gag order. Engoron previously ruled that Trump defrauded banks and insurance companies by overvaluing his properties to obtain improved benefits and loans.

Well Letitia, you know what they say. No one is above the law.
