Chloe Bailey seemingly addressed the rumors that she’s dating Burna Boy , and her response has made the alleged relationship an even bigger mystery.
During her visit to The Breakfast Club, Bailey was asked if she was going to bring a date to the NAACP Image Awards, to which she said either her godmother or manager would be going. She was then asked if Burna Boy would be by her side on the red carpet, to which she replied, “You should ask him.”
Breakfast Club co-host Loren Lorosa continued asking Bailey about Burna and m wondered how the singer’s trip to Lagos, Nigeria went last month, where she was seen hanging out with the “Last Last” singer.
“Nigeria is so beautiful. I had the best time. I had some good food—I had pepper soup and lots of spicy chicken. It’s really good. I really had a great time,” she said before being asked if she was dating Burna Boy. “Well, I’m a grown woman…[and] he’s a grown man, just like I’m a grown woman…I had a great time in Nigeria.”
Fans were excited to see a possible relationship between Bailey and Burna when footage of them driving around Lagos in a Lamborghini. The two were also seen getting close to one another at a club and holding hands on a separate night. Things got even more interesting when Bailey was seen wearing Burna’s “ODG” chain.
Burnas last public relationship was with Stefflon Don between 2019 and 2021. Bailey, on the other hand, has been linked with a number of big-name artists, but she hasn’t publicly confirmed any relationship with them. In a conversation with ESSENCE in December, Bailey said she was focusing on her career before she starts a family.
“I have always had baby fever, but I know I’m physically and mentally not ready to birth a beautiful child just yet,” she said. “I have a lot of things in my career that I want to accomplish first, and I still want to be a little selfish.”
