Crime drama “Dope Thief” will drop on Apple TV+ with two episodes on March 14, 2025.
In this first collaboration between Ridley Scott (Gladiator, Napoleon) and Peter Craig (The Batman, Top Gun: Maverick), upcoming Apple TV+ crime drama Dope Thief features Brian Tyree Henry (Atlanta, Bullett Train) and Wagner Moura (Narcos) as Philadelphia friends who pose as DEA agents to rob a house in the countryside but end up uncovering a major drug operation. The series is based on Dennis Tafoya’s book of the same name.
Dope Thief, which debuts with the first two episodes on Apple TV+ on Friday, March 14, also stars Wagner Moura, Marin Ireland, Kate Mulgrew, Nesta Cooper, Amir Arison, and Ving Rhames. It concludes its eight-episode run on April 25.
The series hails from Apple Studios and is a Scott Free Production.

Earlier this week, Apple TV+ announced it landed the rights to High Wire, the thriller novel from Candice Fox, to potentially develop as a TV series. Ridley Scott’s Scott Free Productions is set to produce.
Additionally, Scott has expressed interest in a Gladiator III theatrical following the long-awaited sequel, which opened in November. Reportedly, Gladiator II has grossed $461.9 million worldwide ($172.4 million in the United States and Canada, and $289.4 million in other territories).
