Polish President Karol Nawrocki has signed a law that completely eliminates personal income tax (PIT) for all parents raising at least two children.
This «fiscal shield,» inspired by Hungary’s successful model, takes effect immediately and could save an average family up to 1,000 zlotys (235 euros) per month, strengthening the backbone of society against leftist policies that erode birth rates.
The reform, enacted on October 16, applies to biological parents, adoptive parents, legal guardians, and single-parent families with annual incomes up to 140,000 zlotys (about 33,000 euros). It covers children under 18 and extends to students up to 25 years old with no income above the exempt threshold.
«The family is the heart of the nation and must also be the center of the economy,» Nawrocki declared during the signing. The impact will be felt in 2026 tax filings, but it’s already causing a stir, contrasting with the progressive stagnation in the West.
This comprehensive package, known as the «fiscal shield,» goes further: it reduces VAT from 23% to 22%, eliminates capital gains tax, and improves pension indexation. Proposed in August as a campaign promise, Nawrocki delivered it in his first quarter, positioning Poland as a conservative beacon in the EU.
Data shows that 76% of Poles see it as essential to combat the 2024 fertility rate of 1.16 children per woman, the lowest in the country’s history.
For low-income families, the benefit is modest (75 zlotys per month), but the message is clear: rewarding responsible parenthood, not subsidizing woke ideologies that promote sterile individualism.
The European Conservative Party highlights how it emulates Hungary, where mothers with two children already enjoy a lifelong exemption, boosting birth rates by 20% since 2010.
The United States, with a fertility rate of 1.6 and liberal policies ignoring the family, should urgently follow suit. Instead of woke spending on open borders, a full tax credit for conservative parents would boost the economy and preserve Judeo-Christian values.Imagine: 16,800 zlotys saved per child over 18 years, adjusted to dollars, revitalizing suburbs and countering the globalist agenda.
This news breaks the pessimism: Poland proves that conservative governments prioritize life, not an omnipotent state.
It’s time for the West to wake up.
