The Obamas posted the obligatory ‘Happy Anniversary’ love messages to each other on Friday.
Rumors that the Obamas were headed for a divorce began in December after Michelle Obama skipped Jimmy Carter’s funeral and announced she wouldn’t be attending Trump’s inauguration.
The two have tried to shut down divorce rumors by posting love notes on social media, but most aren’t buying it since they are rarely spotted together in public and Michelle Obama routinely trashes her husband on her podcast.
Michelle Obama recently took a nasty public swipe at her husband, Barack Obama.
The former First Lady said during her podcast over the summer that she’s glad she doesn’t have a son because he would’ve been just like her husband.
“Because he would’ve been a Barack Obama,” Michelle said.
After her public barbs, Michelle Obama posted a photo of her snuggling up next to Barack with another love note for their 33rd anniversary.
“We’ve been on quite the journey over the last 33 years—and yet, I love you even more today than the day we said “I do,”” Michelle Obama said. “Happy anniversary, @BarackObama! I’m so lucky to go through life with you. ❤️”
