Bad Bunny spent most last year on his Most Wanted Tour in support of his 2023 album Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Manãna and collaborating with other artists like Rauw Alejandro and Feid. Last month, the Puerto Rican superstar previewed his next project with the singles “El Clúb” and “Pitorro de Coco.” Now, he’s kicking off 2025 with his sixth studio album Debí Tirar Más Fotos (I Should Have Taken More Photos).
To set the stage for Debí Tirar Más Fotos’ release, Bad Bunny shared an accompanying short film featuring legendary Puerto Rican filmmaker Jacobo Morales. In the clip, the 90-year-old director brings to life a common complaint on the island today. He explains to his froggy friend that he wished he’d taken more photos when he was younger because his memory hasn’t held up in the years since then. The passage of time becomes even clearer when he goes for a walk to the bakery and realized how much his neighborhood has changed due to gentrification, down to the cashier speaking to him in English and listening to country music.
Looking back and reflecting on past times has been a growing part of Bad Bunny’s life in recent months. “I have these chats with my family members about the old days, and [learning] what their upbringings were like, what my grandfather’s upbringing was like,” he explained to Dazed back in September. “I’m on that wave. Trying to imagine what my life would have been like then.”
As for what’s next, Bad Bunny unlikely to take his foot off the gas going in 2025, with Debí Tirar Más Fotos acting as an early running start. “There’s always a new goal,” he said honestly. “When a person is a dreamer, they never stop dreaming. With the time I’m on this Earth, I’m going to do something.”
