President Trump stunned many of his supporters during a rally at the Iowa State Fairgrounds on Thursday when he revealed that legislation is being drafted to apparently grant amnesty to some illegal aliens in the agriculture and hospitality industries. He appeared to credit his Chief of Staff, Susie Wiles, and Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins for the idea. “You’re the one that brought this whole situation up,” Trump said to Rollins from the stage. “You had cases where, not here, but just even over the years, where people have worked for a farm, on a farm, for 14, 15 years, and…
Tech giant Microsoft has applied for up to 6,000 H-1B visas to bring in foreign workers while simultaneously cutting 9,000 jobs. The Daily Mail reports that Microsoft has recently drawn criticism for its decision to apply for thousands of H-1B visas even as it lays off a significant portion of its workforce. The move has sparked outrage among some who believe that American jobs should be prioritized, especially during a time of economic uncertainty. Breitbart News reported earlier this week on Microsoft’s massive layoff, the second of this year: Microsoft has announced a new wave of layoffs affecting about 9,000 workers.…
The passage by Congress of the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” includes a provision for the reimbursement of funds spent by states on border security. Texas led the nation in state border security spending and could receive up to $11 billion in reimbursements. In a post on social media on Thursday, Texas Governor Greg Abbott called the provision a “Big win for Texas.” “Texas will finally get reimbursed for the billions we spent on securing the border when the Biden-Harris admin refused,” the Texas governor wrote. “Thank you, @realDonaldTrump, for standing with Texas.” President Donald Trump is expected to sign the…
More than 100,000 patients who visited hospitals in Texas between last November and February of this year admitted they were illegal migrants, according to state data. The data was gathered after Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott signed a law last year requiring hospitals to ask registering patients if they are a legal U.S. resident. According to KXAN-TV, by the end of February, 108,581 patients admitted to being illegal aliens — about 2.3 percent of all patients. This number, though, is obviously not complete. The law does not require patients to answer the question, and 12.9 percent — or 617,000 patients…
Democratic strategist James Carville said Wednesday on NewsNation’s “Cuomo” that he believed President Donald Trump could declare martial law as an attempt to interfere with the 2026 midterm elections. Host Chris Cuomo said, “James Carville you are on my old buddy’s Jim Acosta show and you said people tell you, they’re worried about the midterms and you say you should be because there’s a good chance that Trump will try to pull something. What do you think is going to happen?” Carville said, “Well, I think it’s going to happen is Virginia and New Jersey are going to be democratic…
Special tax breaks for venture capitalists, Alaskan fisheries, spaceports, private schools, rum makers and others — together costing tens of billions of dollars — quietly caught a ride on Republicans’ sprawling domestic policy megabill. The legislation is primarily designed to prevent $4 trillion in looming tax increases set to hit at the end of this year. But, shortly before approving the plan, Senate Republicans added a new crop of unrelated, bespoke tax breaks. House GOP lawmakers got in their share, too. Many are the sort of narrowly targeted breaks Republicans have long complained are unfair, reward influential special interests and…
Every person in the Netherlands has so-called “forever chemicals” in their blood, often at levels above health safety limits, according to the findings of the first nationwide study on the issue in an EU country, published on Thursday.PFAS, or per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, are a group of human-made chemicals used in products like plastic food wrappers, non-stick cookware, stain-resistant fabrics, cleaning agents, and personal care items. Due to their durability, they break down extremely slowly and can persist in the environment and living organisms for years, hence the nickname “forever chemicals.”The survey published on Thursday by the Dutch National Institute…

Leftist South Korean President Lee Jae-myung told reporters during a press conference on Thursday that he was hoping to improve Seoul’s relationship to communist North, and its patrons in China and Russia, in pursuit of a definitive state of peace on the peninsula. Lee conceded that any moves to bring Seoul closer to Pyongyang would require coordination with the United States and the administration of President Donald Trump, as the U.S. is an active participant in the situation on the Korean peninsula. The South Korean president made the remarks during a press conference marking his first month in office. Lee,…
