The Syrian central government on Monday began evacuating hundreds of Bedouin families from the region around Sweida, the heavily Druze city where deadly violence broke out between the two groups last week. Syria’s President Ahmed al-Sharaa blamed the Druze for inciting the violence, while the Druze say government forces have joined the Bedouin in a brutal campaign of ethnic cleansing. According to the Syrian Red Crescent, the government sent a fleet of 120 buses to evacuate roughly 1,500 Bedouin to Deraa, a province under the control of the central government and its jihadi allies. The Druze say those Arab Muslim…
President Donald Trump blasted the Obama-appointed U.S. District Court judge overseeing Harvard’s legal challenge to the administration’s freezing of $2.2 billion in federal grants to the university. Harvard is challenging the Trump administration’s freeze, which stems from the elite university’s refusal to comply with demands, including implementing merit-based hiring practices and reforming screening and admissions practices for international students to prevent admissions of students “hostile to the American values,” including students who support “terrorism or anti-Semitism.” After oral arguments on Monday, Trump ripped U.S. District Judge for the District of Massachusetts Allison Burroughs, who is overseeing the case. “The Harvard…
Senate Majority Leader John Thune on Monday said the Federal Reserve should remain politically independent but called for oversight of the central bank’s expensive headquarter renovations. In comments to reporters, Thune said he didn’t know whether Fed Chair Jerome Powell could be fired over his management of the building upgrades, where costs have ballooned to $2.5 billion, but said when it comes to interest rates, the Fed is historically shielded from politics. “That agency is supposed to be independent and operate sort of outside the whims of the political process,” he said. “So that seems to be kind of where…

In an explosive interview with Benny Johnson, former National Security Advisor General Michael Flynn issued a fiery demand for immediate federal action, calling on the FBI to raid Barack Obama’s Washington, D.C., mansion as part of a long-overdue investigation into the criminal conspiracy behind the now-exploded Russia collusion hoax. Flynn, citing the same standard used to justify the unprecedented and disgraceful FBI raid on President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence, demanded that Obama and his deep state cabal be treated the same way—raided, investigated, and prosecuted. Flynn says this should be just the first step: revoke passports for all involved in the…
An investigation conducted by the government of Gansu province in China found that hospitals in the city of Tianshui and officials at the Gansu Center for Disease Control and Prevention falsified medical reports to conceal lead poisoning in over 200 kindergarten children. When hundreds of students became ill in March, local hospitals claimed they could find no common cause – but when parents took their children to hospitals outside the province, they quickly discovered the children had huge amounts of lead in their systems. Former CEO of NPR Vivian Schiller is more positive about the future of the outlet without taxpayer dollars, admitting during an interview on Saturday that she has long believed mixing journalism and federal funding was a “recipe for disaster.” “Those of us that care about local journalism are going to help them,” Schiller said during an appearance on MSNBC’s “The Weekend.” She explained, “The fact is this is done. The money is gone. The rescission has happened. So my perspective now is let’s move on.” The Republican-led Congress passed a White House-submitted rescissions package on Thursday, slashing $9 billion in…
