Eric Adams, mayor of New York City/Stephanie Keith/Bloomberg The Biden Department of Justice is not letting up on New York Mayor Eric Adams. According to Politico, federal prosecutors said in a recent court filing that Adams engaged in crimes beyond the bribery charges he is already facing. “Although the indictment and discovery provide Adams with more than sufficient information as to his alleged co-conspirators and aiders and abettors, law enforcement has continued to identify additional individuals involved in Adams’s conduct, and to uncover additional criminal conduct by Adams,” Edward Kim, the acting U.S. Attorney for the Southern District in New…
China’s New Energy Law could upend many macroeconomic calculations and investments in mainland … [+] China.getty On January 1st, 2025, China implemented for the first time a comprehensive national energy law. Authored by Lance Roberts via RealInvestmentAdvice.com,“Curb Your Enthusiasm,” which ran its series finale last year, starred Larry David as an over-the-top version of himself in a comedy series that showed how seemingly trivial details of day-to-day life can precipitate a catastrophic chain of events. The show never failed to deliver a laugh but also reminded me that unexpected events can derail the most certain of outcomes. As we enter 2025, the financial markets are optimistic. That optimism is fueled by strong market performance over the last two years and analyst’s projections for continued growth. However, as “Curb Your Enthusiasm” often demonstrates,…
