Industrial production grew at a rapid pace in December, data from the Federal Reserve showed Friday. The Fed reported that industrial production climbed by 0.4 percent. November’s estimate was revised up to 0.4 percent from the previous estimate of 0.2 percent. Output by the U.S. industrial sector in December was two percent higher than a year earlier, the Fed said. Economists had expected industrial production to tick up by 0.1 percent compared with the previous month.
