France’s welfare state now masks deeper fracture, rising crime and a political shift in its urban outskirts As a result of the March 2026 municipal elections, as many as 11 French cities came under the control of migrants. This is no exaggeration. First, that was the election agenda itself, formulated with utmost clarity by La Courneuve mayoral candidate Ali Diouara: “My issue is our own, the locals. And when I say ‘our own, the locals,’ I mean Blacks and Arabs.” Second, the new mayors from Mélenchon’s party have already announced a phased disarmament and reduction of the municipal police. It is…
Google has filed an appeal against a 2024 antitrust ruling that determined the company violated competition laws by paying billions to become the default search engine on Apple’s iPhone devices. MacRumors reports that in a legal filing submitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, Google contested the lower court’s determination that its search dominance stemmed from anticompetitive practices rather than legitimate business competition. The company argued that the district court erred in its conclusion about the nature of Google’s market success. Google’s legal team maintained that the company achieved its market position through superior product development,…
The British government is reviewing the ‘Youth Rehabilitation Order’ sentences given to two teenage rapists by a judge who said he didn’t want to “criminalise” the perpetrators. Two 15-year-old boys were spared jail sentences by a British court last week, prompting one of their victims to come forward and question what the point of going to court at all had been, calling the soft-touch sentence akin to being struck in the face. The unnamed girl, who was 15-years-old at the time of the November 2024 attack, has now told British state broadcaster the BBC that going through the process of…
Ship tracking services said on Monday that three tankers filled with liquefied natural gas (LNG) passed safely through the Strait of Hormuz over the weekend, headed for Pakistan, China, and India. A fourth tanker loaded with Iraqi crude oil for China also appears to have passed through the strait after spending almost three months trapped in the Persian Gulf. The tankers were observing various degrees of evasive protocols, including shutting down or spoofing their electronic tracking signals, so some of the work done by tracking services LSEG and Kpler relied on extrapolating from their last known positions. The most reliable…
CBS’ The Price Is Right host Drew Carey attacked former reality TV star Spencer Pratt — who has recently gained ground in his campaign to unseat incumbent Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass (D) — declaring, “Fuck this guy already.” “Anyone who votes for, or endorses Spencer Prattfall for Mayor of LA needs to get their head out of their ass,” Carey proclaimed in a Saturday Threads post. “I understand being angry/unsatisfied, but at least get behind someone competent and not some serial scammer without a soul or moral compass,” the The Drew Carey Show star continued, before adding, “Fuck this guy already.”…

Eyewitnesses reported gunfire at the Mongbwalu General Hospital in the eastern DRC province of Ituri, the epicenter of the Ebola Bundibugyo outbreak, as a mob of angry youths stormed the treatment center to demand the return of two bodies of Ebola victims. President Donald Trump honored those who made the “ultimate sacrifice” in his Memorial Day message while also issuing a scathing rebuke to Democrats who disrespect the U.S. military. “Happy Memorial Day to all, including the Dumocrats, who disrespect our Military and all of the tremendous success that it has had over the last year,” Trump wrote in his Monday morning Memorial Day message on Truth Social. “God Bless those that have made the ultimate sacrifice. I love you all! President DONALD J. TRUMP” Several members of President Trump’ Cabinet shared Memorial Day messages as well. “On this Memorial Day, my…
Pope Leo XIV has delivered a stark warning on artificial intelligence, claiming that the technology is aiding the “normalization of war” and transferring powers of life and death to unaccountable “technological actors.”The American-born pontiff presented his warning on Monday in an encyclical titled ‘Magnifica Humanitas’ (Magnificent Humanity). In the 42,000-word document, Leo highlighted how the “growth of the military-industrial complex has become a defining feature of the current political landscape,” leading to “a troubling revival of war as an instrument of international politics.”In this environment, “the development and use of AI in warfare must be subject to the most rigorous…
A jet carrying the British minister of defence has again experienced jamming of its navigation and communication systems when flying close to the Russian border, prompting questions on why the aircraft hasn’t been upgraded with hardened radio systems. A Royal Air Force-operated VIP jet carrying defence minister John Healey back to Britain from Estonia, where he had been inspecting troops deployed to the NATO border country, was subject to alleged electronic warfare jamming by the Russian Federation on Thursday, it is claimed. A Times of London journalist was onboard the executive flight at the time of the jamming and reported the aircraft’s…
Nigel Farage’s insurgent Reform UK party has laid out plans to dismantle the British Cabinet Office — the beating heart of the UK deep state — and return power to elected officials from uncountable Whitehall bureaucrats. Reform MP for East Wiltshire, Danny Kruger, who defected from the Conservatives last year to Reform, published an 11-page policy document detailing plans to abolish the Cabinet Office and the role of Cabinet Secretary and replace them with an office of the Prime Minister and a Chief of Staff. Kruger argued that presently, British politics has been reduced to a pantomime, with parliamentarians jockeying…
