A North Carolina man has pled guilty to defrauding streaming platforms of more than $8 million in royalties by using AI-generated songs and bots — agreeing to return the money as he awaits sentencing. Mike Smith,  pled guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud before U.S. District Judge John G. Koeltl. The 54-year-old is expected to be sentenced in July, according to a report by Rolling Stone. Legislators in at least eight states are pushing to loosen gun restrictions on college campuses so law-abiding citizens have a means of self-defense, according to a FOX News report.
