A week after Jeffrey Epstein’s ‘partner-in-crime’ Ghislaine Maxwell spoke with the DOJ under limited immunity, it has now emerged that she has been discreetly moved to a much better prison.
The convicted sex-trafficker had been serving her 20-year sentence in the tough FCI Tallahassee prison, but was reportedly moved yesterday to the minimum-security Federal Prison Camp Bryan in southeast Texas.
This was first reported by The New York Sun, and the Daily Mail has obtained confirmation from Maxwell’s lawyer.
Daily Mail reported:
“Maxwell, 63, reportedly spent some time in a federal prison in Oakdale in Louisiana before she was moved to the Texas facility.
The disgraced British socialite is now in the same prison as Theranos scammer Elizabeth Holmes and former Real Housewife of Salt Lake City Jen Shah.”
Camp Bryan primarily holds white-collar criminals.
“The transfer was handled by the Federal Bureau of Prisons, which was unusual, as transfers are usually led by the US Marshals Service.”
In the meantime, the House Oversight Committee has subpoenaed Maxwell for a deposition date set for August 11, but she is expected to ‘plead the 5th’ and decline to testify unless her conditions – including immunity – are accepted.
“’Ms. Maxwell cannot risk further criminal exposure in a politically charged environment without formal immunity. Nor is a prison setting conducive to eliciting truthful and complete testimony’,’ Markus said.”
Maxwell is seeking a presidential pardon, and Donald J. Trump, while asserting his authority to do so, said he had not been approached by anyone with the request.
