Senator Alex Padilla of California, whom no one had even heard of 48 hours ago, consumed much of the news cycle yesterday, after he was tackled by security during a Kristi Noem presser for barging in unannounced and seeming to lunge at the DHS Secretary.

His behavior was so inappropriate that even CNN’s security analyst defended the agents who took him down.

In the hours that followed, every Democrat in the country came out of the woodwork to defend Padilla, claiming that this was outrageous and unprecedented. For them, it was proof of Trump’s authoritarianism.

Now, witness the birth of a liberal talking point. Alex Padilla is actually a very ‘MILD MANNERED’ person, according to California Governor Gavin Newsom, a California House Dem, various CNN talking heads, and Dem Senator Chris Coons of Delaware.
