JACUMBA, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — Authorities searched the home of a man suspected of assault with a deadly weapon Monday, uncovering firearms, explosives and booby traps.
Ross Warren, 40, was arrested after being found hiding inside a wall of his Jacumba property, Lt. Jeff Ford with the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department said in a news release.
Around 6 a.m., deputies served a search warrant for a home in the 42000 block of Old Highway 80 in regard to an investigation of a Feb. 22 assault with a deadly weapon incident.
When authorities located Warren hiding in the wall, they also found a firearm, pellet gun and imitation firearm inside the wall with him, the sheriff’s department said.

Multiple fabricated explosives were found inside the home, while improvised booby traps were scattered around the exterior of the home, per SDSO.

Warren was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, child endangerment, possessing/deploying booby traps and multiple counts of possessing/manufacturing destructive devices. He was booked into the San Diego Central Jail.
Warren’s live-in girlfriend, 38-year-old Brenda Beltran, was arrested on suspicion of obstructing/delaying a peace officer. She was cited and released.
