A Milwaukee meteorologist at the CBS affiliate WDJT-TV has been fired after accusing Elon Musk of making a “Nazi salute.”
In an Instagram story shared on X by conservative radio host Dan O’Donnell, Kuffel said that she wanted nothing to do with people associated with the world’s richest man.
“Dude Nazi saluted twice,” she wrote. “TWICE. During the inauguration.”
”You fuck with this and this man, I don’t fuck with you. Full stop.”
In a separate story, she posted a GIF from a scene in the popular sitcom It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
“Screw that old bitch,” the character remarks. “He’s a Nazi.”

In a memo obtained by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, news director Jessie Garcia confirmed that Kuffel had been relieved of her duties.
“Meteorologist Sam Kuffel is no longer employed at CBS58,” she wrote.
“A search for a replacement is underway.”
Her biography and picture have since removed from the Channel 58 website.
According to her LinkedIn profile, Kuffel had worked at the network since 2019.
While Musk’s gesture could reasonably be described as clumsy, its real meaning was actually intended as a gesture of gratitude to the audience at the inauguration who had always stood by and supported Donald Trump.
“Some elections are important, some are not. But this one, this one really mattered and I just want to say thank you for making it happen,” Musk said before making the gesture.
“It is thanks to you that the future of civilization is assured,” he added.
