Retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn issued a dire warning about the direction of the United States during a fiery panel discussion at the American Martyrs premiere in West Palm Beach, Florida, telling the audience that the country is “teetering on the edge” and urging Americans to become politically engaged.
The remarks came during Saturday night’s American Martyrs premiere at the Cohen Pavilion in West Palm Beach. The official event schedule listed investigative journalist Lara Logan alongside Flynn, Rudy Giuliani, Dr. Simone Gold, and Roger Stone for the evening’s first panel.
During the discussion, Logan turned to Flynn and raised the subject of what she described as political “lawfare,” including Flynn’s years-long battle with the federal government.
“You still haven’t had justice, although the Justice Department had to settle with you,” Logan told Flynn.
“Extraordinary that even when the DOJ ordered a judge to drop the case, he resisted. Lawfare is probably — I mean, people in this room were convicted by the same judges over and over again, judges who stood in courtrooms in grandstanding and gave their political opinion.”
She was talking about Judge Emmet Sullivan, the same Obama-era holdover who refused to dismiss Flynn’s case after the Department of Justice itself moved to throw it out. And she was talking about the D.C. bench that railroaded the men featured in American Martyrs: Enrique Tarrio, Joe Biggs, Ethan Nordean, Zach Rehl, and Dominic Pezzola.
In March 2026, the Justice Department agreed to pay Flynn approximately $1.25 million to settle his lawsuit alleging malicious prosecution stemming from the Russia investigation, according to Reuters. Flynn had originally sought $50 million.
Flynn did not soften it.
“We are in a period right now that we are teetering on the — I mean, literally on the edge,” the retired three-star general said. “We’re on the edge of losing this country. Do not kid yourselves.”
Flynn was forced to burn through some $5 million in legal fees just to keep his name and his family from being destroyed. He pleaded guilty in 2017 to save them from ruin. Rush Limbaugh called the indictment “one of the most gigantic political scandals of our lifetime.” He was right then. He is right now.
Days after the settlement, Flynn issued a statement The Gateway Pundit published in full.
“Nothing can fully compensate for the hell that my family and I have endured,” he said. “No amount of money or formal resolution can erase the pain caused by a prosecution that should never have been brought.”
Logan’s point Saturday was sharper than any settlement check: the judges who dishonored the bench are still sitting on it. The same courthouse that convicted the men in that West Palm Beach room is still open for business.
Flynn’s warning Saturday was not a book tour talking point. It was a battlefield assessment.
“Don’t let somebody give you some excuse, some bullshit excuse,” he told the room. “Like we always learn in the military, the enemy has a vote. And this enemy that we are facing, they are very, very shrewd. They’re dangerous. They’re well-funded. They’re well-organized. And they’re well-led. … You know what they want? They want the United States of America.”
He named the coalition he says is driving it.
“We have an element in this country — socialist, communist, Islamist. They call it the Red-Green Alliance. It’s very real.”
“Very real,” Logan answered.
“You’re damn right it’s very real. And it is so dangerous.”
That is the same alliance Flynn has been warning about for years, cultural Marxists on one side, Islamist political movements on the other, working the same project: strip the American identity, flood the institutions, and dare anyone with a voice to stand up.
Flynn did not pretend the president is perfect.
“Do I have my differences of opinion with Donald J. Trump? You’re damn right I do,” he said. “There’s a lot of things that I disagree with him on. … And he’s got a circle of people around him that are advisors. But I know one thing about him. That man loves this country.”
He compared the crush of the presidency to Reagan’s old line: you can only worry about one or two things a day. The rest, Flynn said, falls to “bodies like this,” the people in the room, the networks in hometowns, the churches that still know what time it is.
Then he went after the Americans who pretend they are above the fight.
“Don’t let somebody stand there and go, ‘I don’t do that political shit, I don’t do politics.’ I always ask when somebody tells me that, I say, ‘You pay taxes?’ And they go, ‘Yeah, I pay too much taxes.’ I said, then you do politics. It’s that simple.”
“We’ve got to be fearless about what we stand for, who we are. And stand up! Argue with people! And sometimes somebody might take a swipe at you. Or you know what they might do? They might throw you in prison. They might throw you in prison for nothing! For no reason!”
Look around that hall. Enrique Tarrio. Joe Biggs. Ethan Nordean. Zach Rehl. Dominic Pezzola. Men the Biden DOJ tried to make into a morality play.

If your church is aware of it. But you gotta get out there and you gotta fight.”
