Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is apparently considering another run for president in 2028. Why?
Christie was considered to be something of a firebrand Republican back in the early days of his governorship, mainly because he did not back down from the liberal media. Now he is a part of it, serving as a contributor at ABC News.
Who exactly does he think would vote for him for president? It makes no sense.

Christie mulls 2028 White House run amid bleak midterm outlook
Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) on Tuesday said he’s considering a third presidential run in 2028 as the Republican Party faces a bleak midterm outlook.
Christie, a onetime Trump ally who ran against him for the GOP nomination in 2024, questioned whether the party will decide it needs to change its approach or “the dominant wing” of the party, “if we do a lot of losing six weeks from today.”
“So, am I looking at it? Look, anybody who comes up here, anybody who comes up here and has ever run for president and not one and told you they’re not looking at it again is lying. …,” he said at the Granite State Summit on Responsible Gaming, per footage shared by WMUR 9’s Adam Sexton.
He added, “Once you go through the thought process of convincing yourself that you can be president, and then the next step that you should be president, that doesn’t leave your brain.”
“So, the way I look at this is, if I’m going to go back home to my wife and say, ‘I know you may not believe this, but third time is the charm,’ like, I better have a real theory,” the former governor continued. “And what she has said to me is, ‘Chris, I want to see the path.’”
Newsflash for Christie: There is no path.
The Republican Party has changed, the country has changed, the electorate has changed.
It is impossible to see Christie even making it through a Republican presidential primary at this point. What is he thinking?
