Macomb County, Michigan, with its heavy blue-collar population, was responsible for President Trump winning the swing state in 2016. Macomb County’s blue-collar vote helped put Michigan — and the presidency — in Donald Trump’s column in 2016. After the state was handed to Joe Biden in November 2020, that same county forged some of Michigan’s most relentless election-integrity fighters.
Fast forward ten years to 2026, and Macomb County Clerk Anthony Forlini is on the ballot as the Republican candidate for Secretary of State, replacing the nation’s most corrupt Secretary of State, Jocelyn Benson. For the first time since Michigan Republican Senator Ruth Johnson held the office, Michigan has a real chance at cleaning up its voter rolls.
Anthony Forlini is not an in-your-face type candidate; however, he is quietly proving to Michigan voters that he’s serious about removing non-citizens, dead voters, fake registrations, and duplicate voters from its voter rolls.
On Friday, the Republican Secretary of State candidate released a video on social media explaining how clerks in Macomb County are being overwhelmed with fake registrations for the upcoming election.
In his Sept. 18 video captioned “This is not how things should be run,” the Republican candidate for Secretary of State said his local clerks are furious. More than 5,000 voter-registration cards dumped on Macomb — people already on the roll, signatures that don’t match the QVF, paid collectors turning in junk. The cards are still coming. One clerk told him a single person dropped 47 for the SAME person!
“Five thousand came through our county — and they’re still coming in from organizations and groups that are out to make a buck for themselves, for the people that are doing it!”
Anthony Forlini shared a stunning fact relayed to him by one of his clerks: “One of my clerks said, allegedly, there were 47 for one person!” The secretary of state candidate explained that not only is the fraud unacceptable, but forcing clerks to spend hours uncovering it is a complete waste of their limited time. “That’s a lot of time suck, guys. It’s a lot of time suck for your local clerks, for the people that are trying to do our elections, trying to make our elections good. They work hard. They work really hard. We need to support them, and we need to understand these registrations to vote and how they’re coming in, and why they’re coming in the way they’re coming in,” Forlini said.
As Secretary of State, I’m going to try to figure this out. I’m going to try to figure out what is flawed in the law and how we’re registering people, because this isn’t the way the law was designed to be — where anybody can just turn in registrations for anybody, even though the clerks are claiming 9 out of 10 are not legitimate.

Forlini’s assessment of the clerks’ count is brutal: nine out of 10 of these forms are not legitimate! That is not a paperwork hiccup. That is a system built so anybody can walk in with a stack and get paid while clerks burn hours chasing ghosts instead of running an election.
He said that is not how the law was written — and that when he is Secretary of State, he will find the hole and close it.
Last month, President Trump addressed the major voter registration fraud ring that was operating in at least 68 cities in Michigan under the name GBI Strategies/Empower Michigan. The Gateway Pundit was first to break the story and tell our readers about how Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, along with her Democrat friend, Attorney General Dana Nessel, hid the investigation that began before the November 2020 election from the public and, even more disturbingly, from Benson’s clerks! An untold number, possibly hundreds of thousands, of fake registrations were being mailed from a hotel and dropped off at local clerks’ offices, yet clerks were never told of the statewide investigation that included investigators from the Secretary of State and Attorney General’s offices.

Doesn’t Michigan deserve a transparent Secretary of State who actually wants to make elections honest again? Let’s hope Anthony Forlini wins his upcoming election and can undo all that’s been done to corrupt Michigan’s elections over the past 8 years, especially as it pertains to the dirty poll books.
