Paula Devlin, one of the outspoken Lindsay Clancy jurors, continued her media tour this week and cried as she suggested the solution to killing children is postpartum improvements.
Lindsay Clancy strangled her three children to death in January 2023.
Lindsay Clancy sent her husband, Patrick Clancy, out of the house to run errands while she strangled their three young children to death.
The prosecution argued that Lindsay Clancy should be charged with premeditated murder because she planned the killings and knew what she was doing was wrong at the time of the murders.
Clancy was never diagnosed with postpartum psychosis.
Eleven jurors were ready to find Lindsay Clancy not guilty by reason of insanity, but one lone male juror held the line and refused to buckle under pressure.
The judge earlier this month declared a mistrial after a dramatic showdown in court with Clancy’s defense attorney, Kevin Reddington.
The holdout juror, Michael Desronvil, broke his silence this week and said eight of the jurors behaved like “activists.”
And the jurors who have come forward and spoken out have shown this is likely to be true.
Paula Devlin cried as she once again suggested that the mostly female jury wanted to effect change.
“If something good can come out of this sadness, that is justice for those children,” she said.
“Maybe if we got to talk about this 10 years from now, there might be some kind of change,” she added.
