Florida Governor Ron DeSantis appeared on the Sean Hannity show on FOX News last night and explained why the 2026 midterms are different from midterm elections in the past, mainly because of the introduction of DSA radicals in the Democrat Party.
He comes right out and plainly says that the DSA show that Democrats can’t be trusted with power.
DeSantis correctly points out that if these radicals are allowed into office, they will create a situation that will be very difficult to recover from. It’s horrifying to think of what these people would do, given the chance.
Transcript via Sean Hannity:
“Midterm elections are a little bit different than presidential elections. Usually, there’s a swing toward the party out of power, and part of it is just the psychology of voters. I mean, think about it. President Trump came in, and there were four years of an open border. Within one week, he fixed it. He ended the problem.
The problem is, voters aren’t now going to rush out and vote Republican because President Trump closed the border in his first week in office. It’s just not the way it goes.
There’s a different set of issues that comes into play. And I think this is a different midterm than the normal ones because, yes, there are swings back and forth. But you don’t want to swing toward the DSA. If you do that, you’re swinging toward a group of people who are rejecting the founding principles of this country and are going to take our country in a direction that will be very difficult to recover from. So this is not your father’s or grandfather’s Democratic Party. This is a very militant party now, and they can’t be trusted with power.”

Ron DeSantis is spot on here.
If the radicals of the DSA get anywhere near real power, America as we know it is pretty much over.
