Germany’s AfD: The “Far-Right” Party That Wants Borders, Cheap Energy, Sovereignty — And That’s Apparently Hitler

Program of the Alternative for Germany

Since the collapse of Marxism, the Left has been orphaned, bereft of ideology. What remains is envy, the death drive, the urge to destroy.

The Left therefore embraces a limited number of causes — open borders, the “energy transition” — which it elevates into sacred values, absolute taboos, imperatives to which everything else must be subordinated. The world is then divided between those who accept these taboos, this quasi-religious view of politics, and the “Nazis.”

Germany’s AfD is constantly described by the legacy media with one magic phrase:

“Far-right.” Far-right! FAR-RIGHT!

Repeat it often enough and, apparently, no further analysis is required.

But read the party’s actual program, and the picture becomes rather less dramatic.

The AfD’s core agenda rests on three main pillars:

Control the border. Restore national sovereignty. Bring back cheap energy.

That is supposedly the rebirth of the Third Reich.

1. Control the border

The AfD wants stricter border controls, tougher asylum enforcement, fewer incentives for illegal immigration, limits on family reunification and accelerated naturalization, and the return of people who have no legal right to remain in Germany.

The dreaded word is “remigration.”

Strip away the media hysteria, and the principle is simple: if you have no legal right to stay, you leave.

Apparently, enforcing immigration law is now “extremism.”

The party also wants Germany to address demographic decline through family policy and higher birth rates rather than permanent mass immigration.

2. Restore sovereignty

The AfD rejects an increasingly centralised European Union and argues for a Europe of sovereign nations.

Germany should control its own borders, migration policy, energy policy and other core national powers.

It is critical of the euro, EU financial-transfer mechanisms and supranational migration agreements.

If fundamental reform proves impossible, the AfD does not rule out asking German voters directly about their country’s future relationship with the EU.

A referendum.

Democracy — apparently another dangerous idea.

3. Bring back cheap energy

The AfD wants to reverse Germany’s current energy policy.

Restart nuclear power.

Keep reliable coal capacity.

Restore access to cheaper gas.

Cut taxes and bureaucracy.

Protect German industry.

The party argues that the *Energiewende* and current climate policies have weakened German competitiveness while forcing households and businesses to pay the price.

Again, what exactly is “far-right” here?

Cheap electricity?

Factories that stay open?

National sovereignty?

Border enforcement?

The real scandal

You can agree or disagree with the AfD.

But simply attaching the label “far-right” to every proposal is not analysis.

It is branding.

The AfD’s central message is not especially complicated:

**Borders matter. Sovereignty matters. Energy prices matter. Industry matters. National interests matter.**

For decades, many of these positions would have been considered ordinary politics.

Today, much of the European establishment treats being normal as political heresy.

But the truth is that their ideas don’t work. And ordinary people want more well-being, and not to have to choose — like millions of Europeans — between heating and eating.

The AfD is bringing reason — and, in truth, moderation — back into a German political debate that has become unhinged.

“Nazi” is an insult that no longer works.
