Former Minnesota Vikings star Jack Brewer blasted far-left Minnesota Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve for pushing the trans agenda on children during a game against the Indiana Fever over the weekend.
This comes after the Indiana Fever’s Sophie Cunningham sparked controversy in the WNBA by recently saying she wants to “protect young girls in a locker room, or young girls in sport who shouldn’t have to go against biological men.”
Reeve lashed out at Cunningham during a game against the Fever on Sunday, where she wore a “Trans Kids Belong” t-shirt in a petty attempt to own critics of men in women’s sports.
She further went on a locker room tirade about protecting trans kids and ensuring they have the right to play in girls’ sports. Critics, namely the young girls protesting at games with “anti-trans signs,” she said, don’t truly understand the “real problems.”
ESPN commentators chimed in during a live broadcast of the Lynx-Fever game on Sunday, outrageously lecturing viewers on why they should watch her “Incredibly thoughtful” press conference while highlighting her “Trans Kids Belong” t-shirt and portraying Sophie Cunningham as a villain.

In an interview with Fox News, Brewer slammed Reeve’s representation of her team, describing her promotion of child transgender procedures as “disgusting and sad.”
“These people are sick and need help. We should be praying for them and finding treatment for them. Instead, people like this coach in Minnesota are promoting these types of atrocities. It is a terrible thing,” he said.
He further said it’s “sad” and “embarrassing” that this is happening in his former home state, which he says he is “deeply connected to” through sports, family, and his alma mater, the University of Minnesota.

“The Lynx have a rich history in that state. That team was established the year I got to Minnesota, and I remember watching them. To now see a coach representing that team in this way is sad. It is sad to think that young girls in Minnesota are coming to games and watching teams promote something like that. It is ridiculous to think that a grown woman would go so hard in support of men playing against women and entering women’s locker rooms,” Brewer said in a statement provided to Fox News Digital.
“This coach is promoting the idea that children who should be receiving psychiatric treatment… should instead be affirmed. It is disgusting and sad. These people are sick and need help. We should be praying for them and finding treatment for them. Instead, people like this coach in Minnesota are promoting these types of atrocities. It is a terrible thing.”
Brewer added that the visual was personal to him as a father, and someone with ties to Minnesota. Brewer began his career with the Vikings in 2002 after playing football at the University of Minnesota from 1998-2001.
“As a father and someone whose family is deeply connected to Minnesota sports, I have an eight-year-old daughter who plays highly competitive tennis and competitive soccer. She also plays and trains in Minnesota. We go to Minnesota during the summers. Her cousins, grandparents, aunts and uncles are there. My nieces and nephews are there. I went to school in Minnesota, my family lives there, and my cousins coach various sports there. I am involved in sports in that state. It is embarrassing,” Brewer said.
Reeve and three other WNBA coaches, including Sophie Cunningham’s own coach, Stephanie White, have come under fire recently for openly supporting or refusing to denounce men participating in women’s sports.
