Dashcam video from a Tesla on Philadelphia’s I-76 caught a horrifying moment on camera this week, when a tire barreling down the highway slammed headfirst into a moving car.
The tire is seen in one clip bouncing down the highway median before hitting a Nissan SUV in the left lane.
The car’s hood was smashed in, and the impact shattered its windshield.
The tire was launched straight into the air on the busy highway.
It is currently unclear where the tire came from.
It is also unknown whether anybody was injured in the wreck.

The incident happened just after noon near Girard Avenue in West Philadelphia.
The Tesla driver reportedly said he heard the crash, but did not know what had happened until he watched the footage later.
