Rap megastar Nicki Minaj praised President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest on Sunday. “This administration is full of people with heart and soul, and they make me proud of them,” she said, adding that Trump and Vance make her “feel proud to be American.”
“I have the utmost respect and admiration for our president,” Minaj said. “I don’t know if he even knows this, but he’s given so many people hope that there’s a chance to beat the bad guys, and to win, and to do it with your head held high, and your integrity intact.”

The “Super Bass” singer went on to say that President Trump has “been through every single thing a person can go through, publicly,” and has been “constantly lied on.”
“Until you are in that person’s shoes that’s being lied on, you’ll never understand what it feels like,” she added. “That person is a human being, they have a family who has to read those lies, and it’s just not fair.”
“But this administration is full of people with heart and soul, and they make me proud of them,” Minaj said.
“Our vice president — well, I love both of them — they’re both powerful men, smart, strong, all of that, but both of them have a very uncanny ability to be someone that you relate to,” the “Anaconda” singer continued.
“I can relate to them,” she added. “When I hear them speak, I know that they’re one of us — they haven’t lost touch of the world. They’re still connected to the world and what’s happening in the world.”
“They have the ability to still connect, and be real, and make us feel proud to be Americans,” Minaj asserted.
The “Starships” singer also read her recent X posts slamming Governor Newsom out loud for AmericaFest attendees.
After being asked by Erika Kirk if she had anything to say to the California governor, the rap star replied, “Dear Newscum, we don’t have a problem cleaning up the scum if we have to. Please, tread lightly.”

Turning Point USA surprised its tens of thousands of AmericaFest attendees on Sunday by closing out the event with Minaj, who has been increasingly outspoken about matters involving politics in recent months.
A source familiar with the planning logistics of Turning Point USA’s 2025 AmericaFest told Breitbart News that arrangements for the rap megastar to attend the event transpired after Charlie Kirk’s September 10 assassination.
Minaj’s decision to speak at the conference after Kirk’s horrific murder underscores how his assassination has inspired figures outside traditional conservative circles — who might otherwise remain silent — to speak out more boldly about their beliefs, honoring the free speech martyr who lost his life while engaging in open dialogue.
Turning Point USA’s annual end-of-the year conference — the organization’s first AmericaFest since the horrific assassination of its founder — attracted over 30,000 attendees, making this year’s event the largest in Turning Point USA history.
