President Trump on Wednesday announced he terminated Joe Biden’s CAFE (Corporate Average Fuel Economy) standards that were destroying the auto industry and driving up the price of vehicles.
CEOs of Ford and Stellantis joined President Trump in the Oval Office on Wednesday.
“President Trump just TERMINATED Joe Biden’s ridiculously burdensome CAFE standards,” the White House said.
“Thanks to his actions, Americans will save nearly $109 BILLION over the next five years,” the White House said.
“We’re officially terminating Joe Biden’s ridiculously burdensome, horrible actually, CAFE standards that impose expensive restrictions and all sorts of problems, gave all sorts of problems to automakers,” President Trump announced from the Oval Office.
“It put tremendous upward pressure on car prices, combined with the insane electric vehicle mandate. Biden’s burdensome regulations helped cause the price of cars to soar more than 25%,” Trump said.
“Today, we’re taking one more step to kill the ‘Green New Scam’ as part of the greatest scam probably…other than Russia, Russia, Russia,” Trump said.
Trump also brutally mocked Joe Biden and said he has no clue what CAFE even means.
“CAFE standards as an example. Who signed CAFE? Ask Biden, what’s a CAFE Standard. He’d have absolutely no idea. He’d say, ‘where is the cafe located?!’” Trump said to laughs.
“The guy didn’t know anything. That just shows you what a rigged election can be,” Trump said.
