U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi took no prisoners when one of America’s worst senators tried to humiliate her with a nosy question during a fiery committee hearing this morning.
As CNN reported, Bondi appeared before the Senate Judiciary Committee to testify. The hearing comes after a federal grand jury indicted former FBI Director James Comey for lying to Congress, and the deployment of National Guard troops across crime-ridden Democrat cities across America.
Worthless Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) was particularly triggered by federal troops in Chicago and other cities, calling the move “unlawful.” He demanded to know what private conversations Bondi had with the White House before the deployment of the National Guard.
Durbin hoped to embarrass Bondi and use her answer as a sledgehammer against the Trump Administration.
“Were you consulted by the White House before they deployed National Guard troops to cities in the United States?” Durbin inquired.
Sensing Durbin’s trap, Bondi responded perfectly.
“I am not going to discuss any internal conversations with the White House,” she replied.
Undeterred, Durbin continued badgering her.
“Why do you want to keep this secret from the American people so they don’t know about the deployment of National Guard troops to my state…What is the rationale for that?” he demanded.
But Bondi did not roll over following Durbin’s repeated cheap shots. She hit him with basic and brutal facts he did not want to hear.
“As you voted to shut down the government, and you’re sitting here, our law enforcement officers aren’t being paid,” she fired back. “They’re out there working to protect you.”
“I wish you loved Chicago as much as you hate President Trump,” she added. “Currently, the National Guard are on the way to Chicago.”
“If you’re not going to protect your citizens, President Trump will.”

After Durbin started whining about her answer, Bondi again put him in his place.
“The National Guard is on the way as we speak!” she told Durbin. “So is Director Patel and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche.”
“You’re sitting here grilling me, and they are on their way to Chicago, to keep your state safe!”

Bondi also reminded Durbin how many people were killed in Chicago last year, thus emphasizing the need for massive federal reinforcements.
For this, Durbin should be thankful.
“571 homicides last year (in Chicago),” she said. “If you were serious about protecting your people, you’d be asking this administration for help.”
