Marxist Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson made clear today that there is no place for ICE in the Windy City, even as they come under assault by his fellow left-wing extremists.
As The Gateway Pundit’s Cassandra MacDonald reported, federal immigration agents have come under horrific assault by leftist thugs while carrying out their duties in the Chicago area last weekend.
In one incident, agents were ambushed and rammed by 10 cars in Broadview, Illinois, on Saturday morning. Officers were forced to fire defensive shots at one assailant, a U.S. citizen woman armed with a semi-automatic weapon.
This brazen assault, along with others, comes amid President Donald Trump’s aggressive deportation push under Operation Midway Blitz, a targeted enforcement surge against criminal illegal immigrants in the Chicago area.
On top of this, uncovered Chicago Police Department radio transmissions reveal that local cops were explicitly ordered to ignore distress calls from federal agents who were pinned down and ambushed by armed rioters in the city’s Brighton Park neighborhood on Saturday morning.
This outrageous stand-down directive left brave federal officers to fend for themselves against a coordinated attack, forcing them to fire and wounding one female assailant who had rammed a DHS vehicle with her car.
Now, Johnson is taking action AGAINST the ICE agents performing their patriotic duties.
On Monday, he announced at a press conference that he would be signing an executive order barring ICE agents from arresting illegal aliens on city property and ‘protecting’ obstinate businesses refusing to comply with federal law enforcement.
“Today, we are signing an executive order aimed at reining in the out-of-control administration,” Johnson announced. “The order establishes ICE-free zones.”
“That means that city property and unwilling private businesses will no longer serve as staging grounds for these raids.”

At the same press conference, Johnson also declared that Republicans in America want a rematch of the Civil War, claiming Trump has declared war on the people of Chicago and people across America.
