White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller pledged on Monday to use the whole of the federal government to target and dismantle the organized left-wing domestic terrorist movement in the United States.
Miller made the remarks to Vice President J.D. Vance, who was hosting The Charlie Kirk Show as a special tribute to the 31-year-old Turning Point USA founder. Kirk, a conservative firebrand and devout follower of Jesus Christ, was assassinated while engaging in debate at Utah Valley University on Wednesday, September 10. The suspect in the case, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, was reportedly in a romantic relationship with a male transgender roommate, and “Hey fascist! Catch!” was inscribed on one of the rounds found in the alleged murder weapon.
“I have an organized strategy to go after the left-wing organizations that are promoting violence in this country, and I will write those words onto my heart, and I will carry them out,” Miller said. “If people ask me, you know, what emotions I’m feeling right now… I mean, you kind of know the answer. There’s incredible sadness, but there’s incredible anger. And the thing about anger is that unfocused anger or blind rage is not a productive emotion. But focused anger, righteous anger directed for a just cause is one of the most important agents of change in human history.”
“And we are going channel all of the anger that we have over the organized campaign that led to this assassination to uproot and dismantle these terrorist networks,” he said.
The same day as Miller and Vance’s interview, a report from The Washington Free Beacon broke about the FBI looking into individuals who allegedly knew about the assassination of Kirk before the murder occurred. Other evidence has emerged that Robinson joked with friends on Discord that his “doppelganger” murdered Kirk. Utah Gov. Spencer Cox (R) has confirmed that Robinson is not cooperating with law enforcement, and dispelled conspiracy theories that the alleged shooter is conservative.
“The organized doxxing campaigns, the organized riots, the organized street violence, the organized campaigns of dehumanization, vilification, posting people’s addresses, combining that with messaging that’s designed to trigger, incite violence, the actual organized cells that carry out and facilitate the violence — it is a vast domestic terror movement,” Miller explained.
“And with God as my witness, we are going use every resource we have at the Department of Justice, Homeland Security, and throughout this government to identify, disrupt, dismantle, and destroy these networks and make America safe again for the American people,” he continued. “It will happen and we will do it in Charlie’s name.”
