Putin and Xi discuss extending the life cycle of humans beyond what’s presently possible.
The Chinese Victory Day parade in Beijing, celebrating the end of WW2 made headlines all over the planet for a wide array of reasons, from the new tech revealed during the ceremony to the new Russian-Chinese pipeline plans and the numerous bilateral meetings that took place.
But a small piece of conversation overheard as the heads of state walked together to the site of the military parade has captured the attention of the media.
Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping are seen and heard privately talking about ‘living to at least 150 years old’.
Politico reported:
“According to audio picked up on CCTV, the two were overheard musing about the possibility of immortality through organ transplants and advanced medical procedures.
‘Earlier, people rarely lived to 70, but these days at 70 you are still a child’, Xi told Putin according to the translator in Russian.
‘With the development of biotechnology, human organs can be continuously transplanted and people can live younger and younger, and even achieve immortality’, Putin replied, according to translation in Mandarin. ‘Predictions are, this century, there is also a chance of living to 150’, Xi responded.”

At the end of his four-day trip to China, Putin held a press conference in Beijing and was asked about the exchange.
