After 18 years of fighting, Congress has just told Planned Parenthood to go fund themselves

After 18 years of fighting, Congress finally tells Planned Parenthood: “Go fund yourselves”

After nearly two decades of relentless pro-life activism, the day has finally come: Congress has stripped Planned Parenthood of nearly $500 million in federal funding, cutting approximately 80% of its taxpayer-backed budget. It’s a thunderous victory for the pro-life movement and a devastating blow to America’s largest abortion provider.

For years, pro-life advocates were mocked, dismissed, and ignored as they warned about the misuse of federal funds. But the truth could no longer be hidden. Fueled by a conservative base that refuses to remain silent, Congress acted — and even though the measure only lasts one year for now, it sets a historic precedent. For the first time in decades, Planned Parenthood has suffered a defeat on Capitol Hill.

And this is just the beginning.

A second budget bill is on the horizon. Now that Congress has proven it’s possible to defund Planned Parenthood, there’s no excuse not to do it again — and this time, permanently. The path is clear: keep the pressure on, refuse to compromise, and never back down.

This wasn’t a fluke. It was the result of years of tireless work: fundraising, lobbying, college debates, rallies, and grassroots campaigns. It was made possible by donors who never gave up, activists who endured endless backlash, and patriots who stood for life against the odds.

But the fight isn’t over.

Planned Parenthood is already mobilizing to recover. Reports from the ground indicate that they’re doubling down on university campuses, targeting students with grotesque promotional tactics, like “two-for-one abortion coupons” during back-to-school fairs. With their federal funding slashed, they’ll be even more aggressive in hunting for paying customers.

That means it’s time for parents, students, faith leaders, and conservatives across America to stay vigilant. The Left isn’t backing down, and neither is the abortion industry. If we want to win the cultural war for life, we must continue to resist — legislatively, culturally, spiritually, and morally.

Today, we celebrate. Tomorrow, we march forward again. Because the soul of America is worth defending — and the pro-life movement will never quit.
