Ed Sheeran is back at No. 1 on the main albums chart in the United Kingdom this week, during what has turned out to be a fairly quiet period when it comes to major titles vying for the throne. The singer-songwriter returns to the summit not with a brand new release, but with a collection that’s already been out for months — and which has previously spent time running the show.

As Sheeran prepares his next full-length, fans in his home country are still loving one of his more popular collections, which gathers together many of his most popular smashes. Their collective buying and streaming activity has pushed his compilation +-= Divide X – Tour Collection back to the top.

Ed Sheeran’s +-= Divide X Lifts to No. 1

The compilation lifts from No. 3 to No. 1 on the Official Albums chart as Sheeran regains control over the ranking of the most-consumed projects in the nation. +-= Divide X replaces another long-standing favorite — Short n’ Sweet by Sabrina Carpenter. That title rebounded to the top for another stint last week, but dips just one spot this frame.

Both pop efforts come in just ahead of the highest-rising debut of the week. Something Beautiful by Miley Cyrus earns that distinction as it opens at No. 3.

+-= Divide X – Tour Collection Finally Hits No. 1

Sheeran’s +-= Divide X appears on four albums charts in the U.K. this week — and it leads half of them. The title reaches the top spot on the Official Albums Streaming chart for the first time, pushing from No. 2 to No. 1. It becomes Sheeran’s sixth leader in its thirty-sixth frame on the list of the most-played full-lengths on platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and others.

Ed Sheeran Reaches No. 1 on Multiple Lists

Pure purchases also aid +-= Divide X in becoming the most-consumed release in the U.K. at the moment. As it surges to No. 1 on the Official Albums Streaming chart, the project also reappears on both the Official Physical Albums and Official Albums Sales lists, breaking back into the top 10 after being absent from both rankings just days ago. +-= Divide X is now a bestseller on each, landing at No. 9 on the physical-only ranking and at No. 10 on the general roster of bestselling albums and EPs in the nation.
