Mollie Hemingway, the conservative writer and pundit of The Federalist, appeared on FOX News yesterday and commented on the Joe Biden decline scandal as it relates to the newest development that Joe Biden has been diagnosed with cancer.
While many people on the left have suggested that the cancer diagnosis should blunt the coverage of the scandal, Hemingway suggested that it actually makes it worse.
Hemingway notes that all of this simply raises more questions about who was really running the country for the last four years. She points out that other presidential scandals ‘pale in comparison’ to this one.

In this current environment, does that focus, that came out before the diagnosis. Whether that changes at all—
MOLLIE HEMINGWAY: I don’t think so. If anything, it actually increases the problems here. We are in the midst of a staggering presidential scandal from the Biden administration. Whether you’re talking about the mental decline or the physical decline, there was a conspiracy to keep the American people from knowing who was actually operating as president.
And this is something that we still don’t really have answers to. To say Joe Biden’s name was the one on the ballot that people chose to be president—not Jake Sullivan, or Barack Obama, or Susan Rice.
Understanding who was operating during this period of both mental and physical decline is something we haven’t even come close to getting answers on. It really makes all other presidential scandals throughout history seem somewhat pale in comparison.

Hemingway is correct, as usual. Her point about who was running the government hits especially hard. Democrats want this story to go away, but that’s simply not going to happen.
