It’s time to get cooking, because the release date for the fourth season of The Bear has finally been announced. It’s been almost a year since the dramatic cliffhanger at the end of Season 3, so read on to learn when The Bear Season 4 will drop on Hulu to answer all your burning questions.

FX’s Emmy-winning series The Bear focuses on the food industry through the eyes of talented young chef Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White). After his brother dies, he departs his career in fine dining and takes over his local Chicago sandwich shop.

In Season 3, he transforms the local spot into an upscale restaurant and becomes determined to earn a Michelin star. Carmy drafts a list of non-negotiables for his team – including “respect tradition,” “push boundaries,” and “vibrant collaboration” – while other rules, like changing the menu daily, prove to be more controversial.

Despite pushback from Sydney (Ayo Edebiri) and Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), Carmy insists that all of his “non-negotiables” will help the restaurant succeed. He also gives Sydney a partnership agreement detailing her ownership stake, but throughout the season, she delays signing it. Ultimately, she’s offered a promising promotion elsewhere – and she might take it.

But perhaps the biggest growing pain for the restaurant comes when the team unknowingly serves a food critic from the Chicago Tribune. They only find out after the publication requests photos of the restaurant and the duck dish the critic ate. Because the menu changes daily, they have no idea which dish was served.

Ultimately, Season 3 ends on a cliffhanger with the critic’s review being published, leaving The Bear in a seriously dire state heading into Season 4. Thankfully, fans won’t have to wait much longer to find out what happens to The Bear, Carmy, Sydney, and the rest of the crew.

Season 4 of The Bear will premiere on June 25, 2025, on Hulu in the U.S. and internationally on Disney+. All 10 episodes will be available to stream at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT.

The third season of The Bear ends on a cliffhanger that will set the stage for the restaurant’s frantic next chapter in Season 4. After Carmy returns from Ever’s funeral, he learns that the Chicago Tribune review has been published. He also notices four missed calls from Uncle Jimmy, along with three missed calls and two texts from Computer, which means very bad news.

While viewers can’t read the Chicago Tribune review in full, negative and positive words flash on the screen, including “confusing, excellent, culinary, innovative, sloppy, inconsistent, simple, and complex.”

Earlier in the season, Uncle Jimmy warned Carmy that a single bad review could mean the end for the establishment, so will he shut down The Bear? Will Sydney leave to open a new restaurant with Chef Shapiro?

In Season 4, the crew will face even more hardships in response to the article, and likely additional challenges in the aftermath. “With new challenges around every corner, the team must adapt, adjust and overcome,” the Season 4 synopsis reads. “This season, the pursuit of excellence isn’t just about getting better — it’s about deciding what’s worth holding on to.”

Most of the The Bear Season 3 cast will likely return for Season 4, including Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Matty Matheson, and Ricky Staffieri.

We also expect the fourth season to feature both new and returning guest stars. In Season 3, Jamie Lee Curtis returned as Donna Berzatto, and Olivia Colman and Will Poulter reprised their roles as Chef Terry and Chef Luca. Meanwhile, John Cena made his debut as Sammy Fak.
