As of last year, it’s officially been a decade since 50 Cent has released an album. The rapper rose to incredible heights more than 20 years ago with his breakout project Get Rich or Die Tryin’, as well as the several massive singles featured on its tracklist.
Lately, 50 Cent has been more focused on his TV career than music, which originally brought him to superstardom. There’s been no word yet as to whether or not the hip-hop musician is working on a new full-length, but as fans wait for music–or even just news about possible music–they’re collectively keeping him on the charts with several of his most popular collections.
Two of 50 Cent’s albums are present on the charts in the United Kingdom this week. Both of them not only appear on a pair of tallies, but they rise on every list they appear on.
50 Cent’s Best Of compilation is the bigger win between his two charting albums in the country at the moment. The hits-packed collection returns to the upper half of the list of the most-consumed albums in the country as it jumps from No. 52 to No. 47. That same release is also a top 40 win once more on the Official Albums Streaming chart, where it lifts three spaces to No. 35.
The rapper fills a pair of positions on both of those charts, as Get Rich or Die Tryin’ is present yet again. That introductory LP improves by just one space on both the Official Albums Streaming (No. 78) and the all-encompassing 100-spot albums ranking (No. 91).
While Best Of may be the higher-rising of 50 Cent’s titles at the moment in the U.K., it is not his most successful on most lists. The compilation only climbed to No. 31 on the main albums chart, while Get Rich or Die Tryin’ peaked in the runner-up space. The proper album has also spent more time on the competitive tally, with 219 weeks versus the 191 that Best Of has managed.
Conversely, Best Of is actually the bigger winner on the Official Albums Streaming chart, as plays of the many smashes featured on the collection have powered it to impressive heights and a lengthy stay. The compilation peaked at No. 21 on the tally, beating the No. 45 high that Get Rich or Die Tryin’ stalled in. It’s also about to reach 400 frames somewhere on the 100-spot list, while Get Rich or Die Tryin’ has yet to crack 200.
