The year has already started strong with Stray Kids and TREASURE laying out ambitious plans for two album releases in 2025. Stray Kids’ Jan. 5 announcement video titled “Stray Kids “STEP OUT 2025” signals their commitment to staying at the forefront of the K-pop conversation and building upon their record-breaking success in recent years. Meanwhile, TREASURE previously announced an evolution in its sound and how its leadership among members that fans will see play out in full this year.
Elsewhere, chart-toppers like SEVENTEEN’s trio unit BSS, IVE, ONEUS, BBGIRLS, CIX, STAYC, and BLACKPINK’s Lisa have all confirmed new projects dropping within the first two months of the year.
But No conversation about 2025’s biggest comebacks is complete without mentioning BTS and BLACKPINK. The final five members of BTS — Suga, RM, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook — are set to conclude their mandatory military service this year, leading to high anticipation for a reunion. 2025 could be equally monumental for BLACKPINK.
